Managing Risks of Climate Change on Irrigation Water in Arid Regions

Abstract Abnormal changes in temperature, precipitation, atmospheric carbon dioxide, or solar radiation are examples of climate change that may affect irrigation water demand. Studies show an increasing trend the earth’s surface with decreasing trends rainfall. With most studies focused on predicting extent change, fewer developing appropriate response strategies. This paper aims to propose a systematic approach identify, analyze, and respond risks arid regions using Risk Management process. The compound effect these was analysed Monte Carlo Simulation, which indicated 69% loss crop production due at 90% confidence level. proposed responses include strategies avoid, transfer, mitigate, and/or accept risks. study has made three contributions state art. First, adopt well-recognized risk management methodology studies. Second, quantify regions. Third, recommend set help policymakers mitigate inevitable harmful water.
